In celebration of Small Business Saturday, American Express hosted a special holiday market in the historic heart of Charleston, South Carolina, a city renowned for its rich small business culture. The event was held along the same bustling street as the iconic Charleston City Market and brought together twelve local businesses and four local vendors for a festive and vibrant marketplace experience.

As the graphic design lead for this event, I created a cohesive suite of deliverables, including large graphic wraps, signage, and enamel pins. My favorite piece, however, was a custom-illustrated wrapping paper. Inspired by iconic Charleston landmarks like the historic Rainbow Row and the pineapple-shaped Waterhouse Park, I took a creative risk by incorporating these elements into a holiday pattern. The clients were thrilled with the design, which was prominently featured at our holiday wrapping paper station. It quickly became a favorite among attendees, adding a unique local touch to the market and enhancing the event's festive atmosphere.
